Let me start by saying: I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to app selection.

There's a reason so many apps exist. Our brains think differently. Our lives/businesses run differently.

But – if you're curious about the tools I use, they're listed below. You can also checkout my free guide: 17 Smart Tools Solopreneurs Need to Start, Grow, and Scale.

  • Airtable: My "source of truth" for everything related to my business
  • Trello: Project management for client deliverables and my own creative work
  • Todoist: Keeping track of my to-do list and recurring tasks

  • Calendly: Easy scheduling and protecting my time
  • Otter.ai: Meeting recordings and AI-generated transcripts
  • Slack: Client comms, sometimes, but I prefer email

  • Carrd: Simple one-page websites (I have several)
  • Clay: Personal CRM
  • Ghost: Blog (including this one)
  • JournoPortfolio: My writing portfolio
  • SignNow: e-Signatures for contracts
  • Streak: Sales pipeline, embedded in Gmail
  • Wave: Invoices and accounting

Zapier sits at the heart of most of my tools. It automates hundreds of tasks between my different apps.

When I'm adding a new tool, I'll often consider if it has Zapier integration.
